Want to get a head start in scoring and writing? Memorize the triples. Yes, it sounds like something your mother would say, but she’s right.
Easier said than done, as there are many triples. No worries, you don’t need to know them all—you’re not a walking calculator. Most triples are rarely hit. Focus on the most important ones: those from 16 to 20.
That still sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? True, but you don’t need to learn them all. Just learn the ones that frequently occur. For example:
- De 7 x 20 is a key number: T20, T20 and S20, so it's useful to know.
- The 7 x 16 is rarely encountered. Unless by accident or if the player is putting on a math wizardry show! Even then, if you come across 7 x 16, even the most experienced scorer will need a moment to calculate, so don’t worry.
